Vision
We are in the process of building the premier distribution network for Catholic products in the United States in order to assist in the rebuilding of a Catholic culture in this country.
We will do this through the creation of a network of Internet sites, local stores, parish gift counters, a distribution facility and social gathering points throughout the country.
This network will give Catholics easy access to Catholic products as well as locations to meet with other Catholics and those interested in the Catholic Faith.
About Us
Aquinas and More Catholic Goods is centrally located in Colorado Springs, CO. We carry thousands of products ranging from books and videos to chalices and church furnishings.
The store was started by Ian Rutherford in 2002 and is owned and run by his family and friends:
Ian is the founder, owner, and website administrator
James, his brother, is the general manager
Mike is the product manager
Ethan helps with technical support, systems, distribution, personalized items and odds and ends
Aline is the customer service manager
Shelley assists with customer service
Zach is the receiver
Jimbo is the shipper
Fran, his mother, handles quality control
Mike and Mike, his brother, help out with data entry
Rebekah, his sister, keeps the store clean and organized
Paula, Ian’s wife, provides moral support and sanity checks
Lucy, Margaret, Andrew, Anne, Susan, and Peter, his children, always ask what daddy does at work and baby Maria doesn’t know what work is yet.
The store name comes from two famous Catholic saints, Thomas Aquinas and Thomas More. The ox head in our logo is a symbol of St. Thomas Aquinas who was called “The Dumb Ox” because he was a very quiet student, and rather large.

Ian, earlier this year you were kind enough to speak with me regarding my aspirations to open a catholic store in my area (FL). I am working the proforma budget and need some guidance on average annual cost of goods sold (percentage basis). I know different product lines have different pricing levels. I’m a music director in Chantilly, VA, and I’ve put together a CD to help average parishioners and music teachers and their students learn some of the basic chants of the Church. Based on my classroom experience as our parish school music teacher for two years, I found that it was very helpful to have a resource that provided spoken pronunciation tracks, as well as the sung chants. The booklet that goes along with the CD also lists keywords (words in English that are related to the Latin words used in the chants) and the lyrics and translations of the twenty-five chants on the CD.

I am searching for a company that offers a Catholic Book Book Fair for chlidren in Catholic Schools. Scholastic offers one for secular books, however we wish to be able to offer our students books about their faith both for their personal use and to add to our school library. We are looking for both hardcover and softcover books.
In addition, we would like to be able to offer our parish a Book Fair for all ages to run in conjunction with the students Book Fair.
Even our Diocese has been unable to refer us to anyone who can help us. Please if there is anyone out there that could give me a name or direction it would be greatly apppreciated.
